Based in Pennsylvania, John Wesley Dickson is a songwriter, composer, performer and classical guitarist. John’s B.A. in English and Master’s in Psychology inform him to write interesting lyrics over broad musical styles. His newest album, AMERICANA, offers 12 original songs demonstrating the threads of American Music that form a rich tapestry of our American Culture. John’s album “LIVING THROUGH LOSS, MALCOLM’S” SONG, was re-released in August 2015. Using his background in Counseling Psychology, this song cycle offers each listener the universal outline of Elizabeth Kubler-Ross’ Stages of Grief in a step by step musical journey throughout John’s own cathartic experience of recovery from the loss of his own best friends musical partner and roommate, Malcolm Keenan. KEENAN HOUSE, in Allentown, Pennsylvania is dedicated to his name and the good work he inspired.

Three earlier album / CD releases, all being streamed actively on Spotify, include the 2017 release of ‘I PROTEST’John’s attempt to engage American Citizens in a civil conversation about crucial cultural, economic, and environmental issues of our time. Also, 2018’s release of ‘A Mind Full’, a Jazz / New Age release CD of original, instrumental music using multiple horns, drums, keys and sophisticated guitar arrangements for fun, interesting musical explorations. ‘STORIES’ is John’s 2019’s album / CD which is a well recorded / mixed / produced studio creation featuring five, 25 year old, trained professional musicians. Each song represents a “Story’ presenting John’s songwriting abilities in a new, fresh context.
